Eat with Afia is a celebration of traditional Ghanaian cooking, rooted in heritage and bold flavors, with over 100+ recipes, written through a plant-based perspective. 

The goal of the cookbook is to provide readers and cooks a foundational introduction to Ghanaian culinary traditions with deep dives into

  1. Staple ingredients (pantry ingredients, fruit and vegetables, spices) and their history, scientific roots or connection to Ghana’s diverse climate.
  2. Essential food processing techniques such as fermentation
  3. Foundational cooking techniques
    1. Preparing the best Ghanaian style jollof rice
    2. Mastering the art of fufu and other staple/hand held  foods 
    3. Diverse collection of plant based friendly soups that reflect diverse culinary traditions across Ghana
    4. Integrating indigenous Ghanaian ingredients into popular staple foods, drinks and snacks
  4. Personal anecdotes that shaped my cooking experience 

Every recipe comes with an accompanying photo, with technical recipes including multiple process photos to help you succeed.
