About Me

Akwaaba (Welcome!)

My name is Afia, and I am the creator behind Eat with Afia. My platform is all about celebrating Ghanaian and West African food through culture, tradition and history.

I am a researcher in training and my education has lent itself well to creating a space where anyone can learn about West African food and what our culinary traditions are all about.

On this website, you will find delicious plant-based friendly recipes that are inspired by the various cultures of West Africa. There will always be details about culture, ingredients, substitutions and answers to all your questions.

When I am not cooking, I am crunching numbers for my PhD degree in Epidemiology. Thanks for being here!
